Symon Looks to ‘Final Mile’ Network InnovationSymon Gray has been appointed Head of Networks at one of Britain’s fastest-growing independent distribution network operators (IDNO).
Symon moves into the new role at Energy Assets Networks (EAN) having served as Compliance and Standards Manager, and will be responsible for day-to-day operations, overseeing the design, adoption and management of ‘final mile’ residential and industrial and commercial electricity networks.

AI Powers DINO for Smarter Local Energy NetworksA pilot project that aims to show how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to prevent local power networks being overloaded during the projected rapid rise in demand for electricity has been launched with co-funding from Innovate UK, the UK’s innovation agency.
Project DINO (Domestic Infrastructure and Network Optimisation) - a partnership between Evergreen Smart Power, Energy Assets Networks and Myenergi - will demonstrate in a newbuild residential setting how AI can safeguard network integrity through two-way communication with household appliances. It is the first project of its type in the UK.

Energy Assets Networks Attends Customer Engagement EventScottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) run a series of customer engagement events throughout the year, and Jayson Whitaker (Managing Director of Energy Assets Networks) and Eugene Darmody (Business Development Manager) of Energy Assets Networks were in attendance at the latest event.
The events are aimed at Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs) who will be, or currently are, working on the SSEN network and make them aware of changes within SSEN.

Energy Assets Networks Provides Valuable Training for ICP’sOn September 10th 2019 Energy Assets Networks held an all-day event in Leeds for G98 & G99 Policy training for Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) within the industry to update their knowledge. It also provided attendees an opportunity to ask experts any questions regarding new regulations and policies in real-time.
The G98 & G99 Policies cover technical engineering requirement policies including operations, network specific implementation and compliance.
