Gas Networks The UK gas market, regulated by Ofgem, is split into several phases: Production, Transmission, Distribution and Supply. The Distribution system connects the transmission system to the consumers within a region. As an IGT, Energy Assets Pipelines is authorised to own the ‘last mile’ of gas infrastructure within a new development. We are then responsible for the operation, maintenance, control, security and integrity of the network. Electricity Networks As an Ofgem regulated Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) we are responsible for the operation, maintenance, control, security and integrity of electricity networks. Our status as an IDNO means we are able to adopt any network from 132kV to LV across the UK distribution network. Fibre Networks Fibre-to-the-home is the fourth utility, often ranking alongside electricity, gas and water for importance among households. The asset adoption package developed by our specialist business – EA Fibre – enables residents to ‘go digital’ from the moment they step through the door of their new home. Multi-Utility Services We are authorised to own and manage final mile gas, electricity and fibre networks serving residential and commercial developments. Our ability to own, manage and operate this multi-utility local infrastructure is driven by the asset values we provide to our customers, our flexible adoption strategies and our expert support.
